There are three one and a half hour external exams in June for AS-level, with a second set of three papers for A2-level.
AS LEVEL MATHS
THREE UNITS
(EQUIVALENT TO HALF 'A' LEVEL)
(may be extended to
full A-LEVEL GCE with
three more units)

The course content covers the following topics:
C1 CORE MATHS (PURE)
Algebra, co-ordinate geometry, series, differential calculus, integral calculus
C2 CORE MATHS (PURE)
Algebra & functions, circles, series, trigonometry, differential calculus, integral
calculus
M1 MECHANICS
Models, vectors, kinematics, dynamics, statics, moments
How will I be assessed?
There are three externally set papers C1, C2 and M1 in June of 1.5 hours each.
What are the entry requirements?
Candidates for the AS level course MUST hold a current
GCSE in Maths with grade A-C (or the Higher/Intermediate Tier above grade C).
Candidates who do not hold GCSE must take this course before attempting the AS level
(and this may be taken in parallel if a diagnostic test is favourable on entry).
A2 LEVEL MATHS
For the complete A level GCE, the following three units must be taken in addition
The course content covers the following topics:
C3 CORE MATHS (PURE)
Algebra, trigonometry, exponentials, logarithms, differentiation, numerical methods
C4 CORE MATHS (PURE)
Algebra & functions, coordinate geometry, sequences & series, claculus, vectors
M2 MECHANICS
Kinematics, centre of mass, work & energy, collisions, statics
How will I be assessed?
There are three externally set papers C3, C4 and M2 in June of 1.5 hours each.
What are the entry requirements?
Candidates for the A level course MUST have completed Units C1, C2 and M1.
